As you may know, Joss Whedon (hail!) has accepted to write and direct Avengers 2, so you can all sit back and relax because you're in for a great movie...again.
Yesterday we got the news that he also accepted to be part of the new TV Show based on the Avengers. Until now we're only sure that Joss is going to direct the pilot, as for the rest of the series, the director has yet to be announced.
Fans are hoping that both Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders (Nick Fury and Maria Hill) will be on the show, just like Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Scarlett Johanson (Black Widow), but the cast hasn't been confirmed, yet. As for Chris Evans (Captain Ameerica), Mark Rufallo (The Hulk), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor), they're romoured to make cameos.
The show has been treated as a " “high-concept cop show”, but being super-hero themed, and with Whedon directing the pilot, there's no doubt it will be good.
